powerful electric motor.
This strong 590 watts engine has no problem keeping my 3.2kg (7.05 lbs) aircraft Piper PA-18 Super Cub Burda 1620mm in the air.

Tiger Moth Roar or Purr

Ok there is the Dynam Tiger, which in fact I have owned and flown with some great results. But, I wanted a slightly larger plane. I noticed the Hobbyking Cambridge Tiger was a fair bit cheaper than the same nexus Tiger Moth kit in Royal Navy Colour scheme, that I wanted, and was prepared to spend more money to get it. Still annoying to have to pay quite a bit more for essentially the same kit. Unboxed the substantial outer boxing, and unpacked the remaining parts, which I have to say was very impressive with a hard copy of the instruction manual, and not some ****** pdf link to download, big tick from me. Following the instructions the construction was easy, with no major issues, but for a couple of points. 1. Undercarriage, not scale really and inherently weak due to no cross bracing, my Dynam Tiger had a spring and more scale landing gear. I have done some U Tube research, and this bending of the gear on landing seems to be a common feature for IC powers aircraft, Electric is of course inherently lighter. BUT a less than smooth landing I am sure will result in bending, so paying a premium price £240 I would have expected a more robust landing gear. 2. Canopy's way to large, certainly not scale. I had a spare Dynam set which I used, and is now the size they should have been. 3. Engine mount for ic, I think there should have been a one price bracket not presented in two parts that we are asked to trim on one side to fit!!? Why ? At this price, should have been one unit out of the box which would result in an accurate fit. Incidentally the base of the two price mount were not flat, and rocked until I wanted flat. Again I feel this should not something the new owner should be expected to address. Again a One Piece Moulded Engine mount would have a perfect conclusion. It is now ready to fly, constructed, it looks superb and once I get a nice calm day will take to the skys.........
